We start the third last series of the season, against the Rays who are also not going to the playoffs this year, after getting there last. Odd are we’ll get a Tropicana moment.

There was some Jays news today:

  • Will Wagner has already had surgery on his left knee.
  • Daulton Varsho will have surgery on his rotator cuff Monday.
  • Bo Bichette is getting a specialist to look at his hand next week, to see if he needs surgery on his finger.
  • Kevin Gausman will not miss his next (and last start of the season) with the back injury.

We get the MLB debute of Jonatan Clase tonight. And Ernie Clement bats second.
