Game #131 GameThread: Angels @ Jays

MLB: Los Angeles Angels at Toronto Blue Jays John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

So, we’ll see if the Angels find Gausman “hittable” and have him carry a no-hitter into the ninth.

The Jays are 12-9 so far this month. Add to the bullpen. Add another bat this winter. We could have a team next year. The young guys are making the team more fun to watch.

So Steve Simmons thinks the Jays should have called Votto up, put him at first base and then taken him out of the game.

Does Votto seem like the kind of guy that would do something like this? I don’t think you could have gotten Votto to do this if they held a gun to his head.

I get the ‘I’ll say anything to complain about the Jays’ thing Simmons has going, but at lest be reasonable about it.

Today’s lineup. No Varsho, Loperfido moves to the two-spot and plays center. This might be a hot streak, but it is great to see. If he can keep this up, he will have a full-time job next year. We need a power hitter, and he might be it.

Springer DHes again. I wonder if they are thinking of him being a semi-full-time DH next year?
